Aqueous ink is water based and can be only used on specially treated printing media. This ink is known for its exceptional color gamut. SignCenter wholesale printing has 2 HP Aqueous ink printers. It is, however, the least physically durable of any of our printing processes, so it is best used for photo and fine art reproduction, backlit prints for indoor use and indoor posters.

Aqueous inks are produced with two options for color chemistry: dye and pigment. Dye based inks are inherently susceptible to fading. SignCenter only uses pigmented inks which are far more stable when exposed to UV light.
Typical media for aqueous printing are photo gloss and photo lustre paper, heavyweight coated paper, backlit film, and archival fine art paper and canvas.
Our HP z6800 aqueous printer can output up to 2400 x 1200 dpi images at 59.5″ wide, and uses a unique ink set combining traditional CMYK with 3 shades of black and chromatic red ink for exceptional accurate color reproduction.
