SignCenter offers a wide variety of intermediate (calendared) and high-performance (cast) adhesive media. Our adhesive-backed media, also known as PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) or RTA (ready to apply), come in numerous configurations to meet diverse needs. Depending on the application and material, we use ink technologies such as latex, UV, or solvent.
Most of our adhesive media are stocked in 54″ wide rolls (with a maximum print width of 53.5″), and some vinyls are available in 60″ rolls (with a maximum print width of 59.5″). For specific details, please contact your customer service representative. For large prints, we print vinyl in “tiles” with a standard 1″ overlap for installation. We also recommend providing files with “bleed” and requesting an extra 1 or 2 inches of print to allow for trimming at the edges as needed.
Today, nearly all adhesive vinyl is printed. Before cost-effective large-format printers were available, most computer-produced signs were made with solid color adhesive vinyl that was digitally cut and layered for multi-color effects. At SignCenter, we still stock a limited selection of solid color vinyl, mainly for difficult-to-print Pantone colors or metallics.
