‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the shop,
Our printers were humming, with no time to stop;
Promotional graphics for retail displays,
Were already printing for Valentine’s Day;

The hearts and the love notes were printing in red,
With colorful images across the spreads;
Some of the designs decided to use pink,
And some were simply lovely using white ink;

Now, Clear Cling, now, Vinyl, now, WINCOS and Paper!
On Fabric, on Canvas, on Showcard and Banner!

White Ink and Its Creative Uses

Digital printers have traditionally used some version of a CMYK ink set to reproduce colors (some use additional CMYK Light colors for greater subtlety of tone, or chromatic green, orange or red for increased vibrancy).

These color sets are perfect for printing on white media, but what if your media was clear, black or colored? It would be impossible to correctly render the colors, and what if a design required white ink on these substrates?
